So i purchased the licence to unlock my controller, but ive got no idea on how to actually unlock it.

Create an account using the same email you have used to login and purchase the license. http://www.virtualdj.com/users/create.html
Once the account is created, open VirtualDJ 8, and login (from the LICENSES tab of Settings), using the new Login (username) and the password of your virtualdj.com account.
If the issue persists, then something is blocking the connection of your computer with our servers, which means that probably an Antivirus software needs to be turned off.
Post a screenshot of the LICENSES tab of Settings on your reply.
