Wonder if this will work with VDJ 8???

What would have taken it over the top would be browser controls.

It's actually quite brilliant. I'm not a big Numark fan, however they did do a great job on this unit!
 
Now where would I place my SP1 since it sits right in front of my mixer??

 
... i hope, Virtual DJ will implement this nice Gadget also ... i'm working with Serato and VDJ, so i will have a look on it ...
 
Any more news on whether this will be supported as a standalone unit to be used with another (non-screen) controller?
 
The unit works standalone so could be coupled with any controller.

Yes, it would need to be supported by VDJ in order to receive information from the software.
 
I guess it'd be pretty close to the Numark NV / NS 7 III screens in terms of how it works. The "skin" would be part of the DashBoard hardware (so it'd still have that Serato look) and the live data would come from the software. Might even be a case of just modifying the PID.
 
I'm obviously not communicating very well here.

Given the fact it's taking some time for controllers to be supported..... for those of us that might consider buying this unit, is it the intention of Atomix to support this unit and is the mapping being worked on?
 
- Mapping is not in work at the moment
- It is in our to-do list to support Dashboard (and make it working with all of our supported controllers)
- No ETA


FYI, the Dashboard doesnt have Browse controls, so the control of the Browser will still be part of your controller. Therefore some hardcoded implementation will be required in order ALL controllers to communicate with the Dashboard out of the box, without you having to modify any mapping files.
