Is it still possible in VDJ8 to use one deck (CDJ2000) and simply map a button (such as eject) to switch from left to right decks internally? Also if this is supported, is there a visual indication to show the currently selected deck?
I want to retire my old controller and use a single CDJ and mixer, this is for venues with limited space.
I'll need to test this myself before trying it out, so just want to confirm it works properly before setting it up at home.

the CDJ-2000 already has the EJECT button like this. Actually it needs to be held down for 2 secs, but you can delete the holding ? part if you want it to act immediately.
As for the indicator, you can use the action select and watch the DECK Selector buttons on the skin.
so something like ..
invert_controllers & select
should work fine.
