Im playing around with the custom button here as im trying to create one where I press the custom button and the echo kicks in and stops with a trail but cant get it right. what do I type in. I know its effects_active "echo" but cant get the last part right.

Ive just realised it works but this command stops the track instant but I need a way where I can delay it a little before it stops to give the echo trail

I think your looking for the loopout add-on...it does what your looking for. Other than that the stock echo has trails, but loopout will do what you want. But I think you can active both echo and loopout for some crazy echos....i love it
