DJ DMC-12
I have two different Numark controllers that I have tried hooking up to three different computers with Virtual DJ 8 Pro, and in all cases the left channel volume fader jumps up and down by itself, and the level set on the controllers does not sync up properly with the slider on-screen. Everything else, including the volume slider for the right channel, with both controllers and all three computers works fine.
This problem slowly developed with the one controller, while the other controller was working fine and then this just started happening all of a sudden. Same exact problem, same sliders, two different boards.
What could be causing this to happen and how can I fix it?

fader bleed, get some contact cleaner on it,

This unfortunately did not resolve the issue. Thank you for the suggestion though. Any other possible remedies?

First you will need to make sure its a hardware fault.
Use Miditrace http://www.virtualdj.com/download/miditrace.exe (or MIDIOX - google it.)
Select the Device from the right side.
See if the unit sends data from the Volume Fader without moving that. Assuming that the Fader will send XX XX 00 (bottom) to XX XX 7F (top) you may explain the erratic behavior.
If you verify the hardware failure, you will need to contact with the manufacture Support and ask for further details on how to proceed.
