Topic: Help!!

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I have had ongoing problems with recording,
So I brought a djio2,
I have plugged this in and lost all signal going to the mixer from the computer, I have now removed the djio2 and can't seem to get my decks working again.

I have been having so many problems with working all this out, I can't believe vdj is this hard to work out.
If anyone can help,
Please also email me as the forum takes ages to get matters solved.
I'm at my wits end with this set up.

Thanks

Sorry email contacts are not allowed by home users, thank you.

Why start a new thread to solve an ongoing issue?

People aren't here 24/7 to solve your unique issues, have patience and you will get a fix soon.

VDJ is very easy to set up and use so it seems you aren't understanding everything. Did you read the user manual and merge your accounts as suggested in another thread?

Being logged in as a home user doesn't help as people will think you have a free account and different settings.

I thought if I wrote in the old thread the guys that were helping wouldn't realise I had asked another comment as I sort of finished it saying I would try a usb interface.

So I thought if I start a new thread they would see it hasn't worked,
Sorry wasn't sure how it works.
I clicked the link, typed my email and password in to merge accounts and it took me to what I am on now.?
I'm doing exactly what everyone is asking me to do, but nothing seems to work for me,
I have read the user manual,
I know how vdj works etc, I just want to record,
I thought reading up on other threads that with my notebook laptop the option was to use the djio2,
So I plugged it in, now I have nothing , no music, nothing going to the mixer,
So I uninstalled it, put my settings back to what they were and nothing.

I'm just worried about time, I have my wedding in 3 weeks and I am suppose to be providing the music,

I appreciate everyone's help greatly it's just frustrating when it feels like I'm getting know where.
It's hard communicating my problem through threads, I just wish there was a tech support line as the matter could prob be solved in a short conversation.

Your case reminds me another topic of yours, but for the sake of clarity, please remind us what is the gear that you are using and how are these connected to each other.

A general advise : To avoid conflicts, it is suggested to select the built-in sound of your computer as the default one and not the plugged USB ones.

I have
2 cdj 400 connect to the mixer via phono,
Deck one channel 1
Deck two channel 2
Both cdj connected to the notebook laptop via usb
Record out on djm 600 connected to line input on laptop (computer does not recognise this which is why I brought the djio2)

Ok, so now the Booth/Record Output of the mixer should be connected to the Input of the DJIO in order to add a record line in the Audio setup like..

record ... DJIO .. Chans 1,2

But this doesnt change anything, meaning that the DJio is only used to record whatever comes out of the mixer. You said that you dont have any sound now, so here are some questions..

Do you have speakers connected to the Mixer ?

What is the Audio setup that you have in VirtualDJ ? Can you provide a screenshot ?

Have you installed the ASIO drivers of the CDJs and use the ASIO drivers in the Audio setup ?

I think i have provided similar instructions and questions to the other thread, and as far as i recall, you have managed to have proper audio output and your issue was only the input of your computer and not being able to record.
so i dont understand how plugging the DJIO made your Audio not coming out correctly now.

Also do you know how to do this ... ?

Hi.

So when I connected the djio2 I opted to use that as a sound card, so I now understand I shouldn't have done this,
I am currently resetting my laptop back to factory settings, I will then reinstall vdj 8 and hopefully be back to where I started with regards to getting sound back,
I have all speakers connected etc.

So I will get the laptop back up and running, the I will go from booth/record put into the djio2 then from the djio2 to the computer using the USB, main out, headphones and mic are not needed correct??

Do I need the asio drivers as one I haven't had them and it was working just not recording?
If so I could find these on the pioneer website, so I downloaded them from an unknown website.
(However I am now wiping my laptop to start fresh.)

I will provide screen shots once I can fire up the computer again,

I have learnt my mistake and will only use this thread from now on.

I do not know how to select the sound card, I was just clicking 2 sound cards option on vdj.?

Question.
So my djio2 does not have an imput.?
Have a brought something I don't need.?

that djio does not have an input only a through

Yes, I am afraid the DJIO is not suitable for recording purposes, as the single (Microphone) Input is going directly through the Main Output of the device and is not part of the USB Audio Interface.
The Input cannot be selected from VirtualDJ (or any other application)
