can anyone help with mapping I know i can not change color of pads but is there a way to
1) list them from left to right instead of up and down?
2) is there a way to make the light on the sample blink or only come on when in use?

1] Mine go left to right

and

2] Mine blink I believe when a sample is playing.

Ill check mine in a bit and report back but Im sure when Im pressing hotcues lets say I go left to right ,

pad1 pad2 pad3 pad4
pad5 pad6 pad7 pad8

Isnt that what your do??
 
the hot cues list from left to right but the sampler list

S1 S3 S5 S7
S2 S4 S6 S8
and they all stay lit so you can't see witch one is on without going into the software

Just checked my samples are they are left to right, same as my hot cues. They don't blink, mine just run a brighter blue when on while the ones not playing are dim.

Do you have your padslayout set to "automatic" in the sampler options??

Hmm that's strange, maybe Bob or Phantom can chime in.

Are you using a custom mapping??

ok i got it to go in the right order i do not know what i did but it is good now the light is still always on no dimming or flash just on
 
so anyone know what to do here this sucks there has to be a way to map this to flash or only come on if it is playing
 
On the right side of the unit there's a "dim" switch. Try switcing it.
 
that helped it now gets brighter when activated is there a way to make it flash maybe even to the BPM when actived or just flash
 
You will need to remap all the "sampler" related keys of your SP1, or modify your sampler PAD page on the software.
If you can wait, I can do the second job for you.
