Topic: Pre-Browsing the database

At the start of an evening of karaoke, it takes a few min to complete the first few searches. After that, results happen as i type. I'm assuming there's some kind cacheing going on. Is there a way to force VDJ to do this on startup without starting a search?

Is your music located in an external hard drive?
 
Do you have the date modified column visible in the browser? (If so, try to remove it and replace with the 'first seen' column)

I JUST migrated to an external drive but the behavior existed when everything was on the internal.

UPDATE - I've made that change in the browser. We'll see if that helps the next time i fire up the systen from skratch

I do have that column listed. i'll try that
