So I still use my DDJ SX (1st Gen) for many events, it is so convenient with 4 channels, 2 of which can be used for mic's and has been very reliable, but after an update awhile back I suddenly noticed I could use the strip search that I never could use before, which was a good thing, but somehow lost the ability to use 3xEffects. I used to have effects loaded for like a certain type of brake, flanger and loop out, as long as I clicked the '3' effects options (instead of 1)within the software, so I can access more than one sample, and by pressing FX1, 2 or 3 on the DDJ SX it would trigger the effect, but that is no longer working.
Any ideas on how to get the FX working again on the SX? Thanks.

SHIFT+TAP should toggle between Single and Multi Effects mode, at least if the "factory default" mapping is used http://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddjsx/layout/effects.html

Ok thanks. I wonder if you change it, does it reset itself every time you turn it on, or is it left the way you set it, until you change it again? I ask because when it worked before, it always worked, all I had to do was click 'm' for multi effect in the skin and then the buttons on the sx worked. I wonder if I accidentally hit shift/tap and changed it and it's been that way ever since? I will try to change it back when connected and see how it goes...

The actions used in the default mapping files to toggle between Single and Multi FX modes, keep their status across sessions (memorized). So does the default skin of VirtualDj. Not sure thought which skin you are/were using and what that M button is assigned to
