Hi folks, I was wondering if there is a way that I can make sure I keep all my start points (cue) when I back up my music to an external hard drive or a usb if I fancy using that instead of using my laptop.
Secondly I am also having trouble with the VDJ app for android on my Samsung galaxy s7. When I open the app it will not connect to the laptop automatically or even when I try and do it manually. I have taken off the firewall just in case it was this but alas its not. Can anyone shed some light on this or have a solve for me as all I can see is it being an expensive app that does nothing.
Many thanks in advance
Craig

Hi Craig,
1. there's a program called RoboMirror that's pretty good for doing backups to more or less anywhere.
2. as far as using the remote app, do you have bonjour installed?
best

Hi Ray
Not heard of any of those. Any way you could tell me more about it or a step by step guide please

If you copy the files to USB/HD using VirtualDJ Browser, VirtualDJ adds database info of those tracks to a separate database file to your ext device, and if you use that with VirtualDJ, it should also carry all the info. Please verify.
However, Cues are not stored to ID3 Tags, so if you want to use this media with a different application, you will not get any Cues. VirtualDJ is currently not supporting writing Cues to Tags
About the Remote connection, how exactly are computer and Android device connected ? Are they under the same Wifi network, are you using some 3G Hotspot or some other way ?

@Jazzyjeffdj, your issue has nothing to do with the subject of this thread. Search for a thread that has the same issue, or start your own. Please do not hijack other peoples thread, thank you.

Hi DJDad
Thanks for that I was actually starting to think that they couldn't be copied.
As for the remote connection I have tried using it on my home Wi-Fi where both devices are connected to and also I have tethered them using my phone and still getting the same problem.
Thanks
