Kronosphere
Sometimes I want to loop a slice (1/2 beat or 1 beat, depends on track) while still having the track playing in the background. I've tried all default effects and none of them can do it. Is there a way to create a custom button for that? Thanks

You could however rename the v7 effect, overloop.dll
To another name and it will work with v8 but be warned this is unsupported and may in certain circumstances cause problems.

Maybe you just want to turn Slip Mode on and set a loop.

Could be just that, I read it as he wants to be able to hear both the loop and track on going,
I suppose dubloop pad page could thereabouts cover both circumstances
