im currently going through my collection and giving it a bit of a tidy up.
ive noticed a lot of tracks have bpm and key in the comments . i dont recall doing this so my question is, does vdj add these? i must have done something before but cant remember what as i gave up half war through sorting it out.

that could be the answer then, ive looked over quite a few albums and a lot are tagged with itunes, beatport etc. and there are a lot with no tags that are ripped from cd, vinyl etc. however some of the ones i know were ripped also have bpm and keytone tags. so im confused.
just to make you aware, ive not used this hard drive for around 3 years now and i struggle to remember what i did yesterday let alone 3 years ago with my mp3 tags lol

there isnt its still windows version but irs ran via WINE which is a kind of bootcamper that lets you run windows software on the mac. id prefer a dedicated mac app.

With vdj you can bulk erase a specific tag with intelligent searching.
Strip down the search fields to just comment and look for the common key stroke (likely #)
I worked a lazily built 5 year built database (sc, bc, other sources) with vdj occasionally going to to the xml level and regex, nowadays I always masrename and blank the comment tag before it gets into the vdj db.

If you use Mixed in key which has an option to add to comment field also.

can you please ginve me instructions on mass blanking the comments tag? id much prefer to blank them all and then have an app re add the bpm and key info accordingly.

Thanks G, ill go through them and see which i prefer, i did find some yesterday but the issue is they all seemed to be limited to 10-50 tracks unless the app was purchased. which i donyt really want to do unless ive had a proper trial.

found this
www.metabliss.com
created by Mixed In Key
however there seems to be no way to actually purchase it. The site states that it is $20 for the digital download, yet when i hit buy, it takes me to the mixed in key purchase page. and MetaBliss is not listed under the available purchases.

Try selecting the "use a different payment method" link under the big buy button.
Also you could try using a different browser. Using Firefox, the buy button takes me to a PayPal page asking for $20 (after blocking a popup). Using Chrome takes me to the page listing the various products - with no Metabliss - but if you select the "different payment method" option, you get the PayPal page.
[edit] Even MIK say to do the above. Click me.

thanks, i tried chrome and safari, ill try your suggestoins and see what happens. MetaBliss looks really good and is from a trusted source so i dont mind paying the $20 for it. ive always been sceptical when it comes to paying £30-50 for programmes im not able to test fully before hand. but being that its built by mixed in key i know its probably going to be ok.
