can someone please shed some light on my situation?
2015 MBAir, Pro infinity 8, pioneer ddj sb2.
whenever i play a loop in a track or set up a cue point to scratch from. when i release the jog wheel the track will jump to its current play position.
im banging my head against a brick wall trying to figure out whats wrong. i know its a picnic problem but i just dont know what im doing wrong.
thanks in advance, a very frustrated blu

That would be my guess too
Check the dark yellow area on the image below. It's on the scratch pane
Slip mode should not be enabled, because then the track will continue playing in the background, and jump to where it would have been, when you release the scratch or end the loop
Shift button + vinyl button on the DDJ-SB2 should also enable/disable slip mode

Yip, that'll be the one, im not sure how it got activated though. as far as im aware there is no shortcut for it on the controller.
im glad it was something simple.

Maybe Shift button + Vinyl button on the controller. I think that does it

turns out that holding shift and pressing vinyl activates slip mode.

Things about slip & slip_mode.
They perform the same thing in slightly different ways.
Slip is a turn on, turn off script, slip_mode does the on/off automatically.
If you engage slip_mode after engaging loop, the slip exit will stay in the loop [for slip scratching in a fixed loop]
