I created a new post so I could pass what I thought was an interesting comment. So..there are two shaders, one is the deck and the other master. These shaders can be overlaid however we only have one transparent shader which is geometry. Hence on the master geometry can be selected while on a deck auto change can be used. This creates a simple overlay effect like Loco is working on only a little less exciting.

Adding a transparency option is planned for a future update :)
 
Can you also add a check to see if the shader has already been downloaded, and a way of sorting them - at the moment they're just listed randomly.
 
@ groovin, check home folder >plugins>visualisations There's an .order file there

So you can add the same shader several times in the list if you wish

It'd be good if it showed the shader title there.

@ ron with 2 decks shadering the lumakey transition can do "a bit of" transparency with a black background shader.

So there is! Odd - it's only got 10 listed but I have 74...
 
I didn't know why i really like the geometry shader .... but then i noticed my curtains

Same here, about 80 downloaded and only 10 listed in that document. :-(
 
I've still been getting bashed around a bit by the shaders. There is or was a big lag starting the shaders on my system which has onboard graphics. I deleted the default orbital ..like the sun and everything started working well.

This simple script works deck master video_fx "Shader"

is this needed? video_fx "Shader"

It will be good to use a button on a controller to manage the shaders.

All the shaders I downloaded run in my laptop web browser at high frame rates. Typically @ 50-60fps. This may be important for those with onboard graphics.

My old video fx like milkdrop have disappeared !
This is a new way of working.
