Yes, all DJ software can do that
And that is often the purpose of a splitter cable. If you don't have a multi output soundcard, you usually only have the stereo output from you laptops headphones connection
The splitter cable then makes it possible to use this for 2x mono - 1 for master out, and 1 for your headphones
