I'm looking to set my gains on my ddjsx to say 9_10 o clock on vdi and stay there to refrain from pushing hot signals to my speakers ECT.master cannot be set so thinking gains might be the same

oninit ? maybe..
deck 1 gain 0.35 & deck 2 gain 0.35
you'd need to sort your decks out and make sure auto gain is not active.
master can't be set???
Notes:
9 o'clock = 0.25
You might be better setting 0dB in the options. I use -12dB (whatever..) but have a main mixer to master my output. We also have a built in limiter but should it activate the signal might distort?

It's best to leave autogain to auto, and leave your gain sliders centered unless to make small adjustments.
If you need more headroom, use the zeroDb option instead and lower that.

It's not a bad thing using oninit to set the gain... it's interesting to see it working. But the setting is then best deleted and Adion's suggestion adopted.

I use -3 for ZeroDb and Oninit at 90% and it works great for me..
And auto+remember on autogain.
And auto+remember on autogain.
