The latest update, i get notification but can't update, click yes, but does not reboot, if I close the program, it again asks if i want to use latest version but again won't reboot.

Seems to be a common problem. Just download from the websire, install manually and that should sort it going forward.

Only a small amount of users (as per our stats) seems to be stuck at your Build (4592), so probably not a generic issue with our updater. We are not sure of the cause, but in the meantime you can install the latest from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/index.html (just install over what u have, wont hurt your DB files or any other settings, but always a good practice to backup before that)

Something is blocking the virtualdj.exe file from updating then.
Before doing the following, see if any VirtualDJ instance is running in the background (Task Manager). If not then...
- Rename your /Documents/VirtualDJ folder to something like /Documents/VirtualDJBackup
- Uninstall VirtualDJ (From Apps and Features)
- Reboot your computer (just in case)
- Install VirtualDJ
- Rename the newly generated /Documents/VirtualDJ folder to something like /Documents/VirtualDJFresh
- Rename the backup folder /Documents/VirtualDJBackup to /Documents/VirtualDJ
- Open VirtualDJ
Before doing the following, see if any VirtualDJ instance is running in the background (Task Manager). If not then...

BTW, how many VirtualDJ shortcuts do you now have on your Desktop, just one ? If more, can you check to which file the other is pointing to ?

i have 2, but put latest in taskbar, never had issue before updating.

Would help us to know what the other shortcut is for , which file is pointing to. Can u check ?

Hmm strange to see virtualdj8.1.exe in the 1st path , Had you ever renamed the exe to 8.1 ?

Lost track of what versions are out just update when it asks, so is this now VirtualDJ 2018? Guess it is as link says so lol
