Hi guys is it possible to have automix shorten the distance between fades. I realise i can manually slide the white marker close to the playhead but if i wanted to do that for 50 songs, say play 60 seconds, it there a way to change that in settings?

Not sure I understand what you would like to do.
If it is to play each track for 60 seconds, and then play the next track in automix for 60 sec ..
then set the option automixMaxLength = 60
