Hey guys
I've read some old posts about vdj karaoke with not so good reviews. I'm looking at hosting some karaoke at a gig soon. I'm just wondering if someone could answer few questions please?
1. Is the vdj karaoke subscription worth the £20 a month? I'll only need it for one gig
2. Could I simply run karaoke through my laptop and Hercules controller , to a tv screen? Or do I need any other specialist or specific equipment? Such as another mixer?
3. Can I did load the catalogue to print?
4. Can you see the words or is it just music?
5. I assume you can flutter between dj music and karaoke on the vdj program?
Thanks in advance guys. I'm not too technical thus the questions and I'd really like to have a simple karaoke set up that I can manage on the night

I’ve used VDJ for Karaoke for 15 years now.
I never use the actual “Karaoke” mode . . . they will just play as a normal video file.
I load up a Music Video playlist and let that play on one deck and use the other deck as needed per karaoke singer.
I use the American Audio 19MXR MX19 mixer which connects via USB and has the built in sound card and some keys already on the mixer like Play / Pause / Cue on each side with a slider
Never had any issues and I host 3 shows a week at different venues.
