Hi,

I’ve just bought an MPD226 to use in my sets and it’s got RBG pads but I can’t seem to edit the colours on them myself like I’m able to with my launchpads.
Can anyone help me with this, please?
Can’t work out where I’m going wrong at all.

Thanks,

Luke

I should add I’ve downloaded the MPD226 Software Editor
I’ve found the VDJ section (16) and started to edit the colour scheme I would like.
I pressed send to hardware which it says was successful and still nothing has changed.

Unfortunately, you cannot change anything in the Program VirtualDJ is using by default. The default "scene" is flashed/loaded to the device, each time VirtualDJ starts.
This was made intentionally, to ensure VirtualDJ operation will work "out-of-the-box" regardless what other MIDI/DAW software might altered.

I suppose you could still use and customize other Programs (2nd detected device MIDIN) https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/akai/mpd226/advanced.html

Ahh that’s frustrating but at least I can give up my efforts of trying to edit it now I guess. Thank you for replying to me.
