Topic: NETSEARCH - Page: 1
Netsearch recently stopped working. This means no more being able to find lyrics inside the video editor of vdj. This is a disaster for me.

I installed the program for a bar two weeks ago, bragging how good the program is because of this feature, then one week later it stops working. So embarrasing.

My guess is that it's because the online database that has the lyrics has changed interface
So I'm sure it will come back in a future fix

It's fixed in the latest early access release
Release notes:
- new option stemsSavedFolder to save stems on separate folder or drive
- Countdown script (useful for newyear etc)
- Fix sampler click when using stutter-play mode
- Fix finding lyrics in video editor
- Allow coloring of beatport/beatsource sub-folders

I was just trying to do this and it appears to not be working again, Kinda in the same boat, sold the production on using it for a event but I'm a week out from the event doing prep and i cannot get it to pull up a single song . properly tagged the whole shabang.

Yes I think the internet lyrics lookup is broken again in the latest build

Maybe the online lyrics db is changing their API too often ...

Had a group of deaf people in tonight, asking can i add subtitles, i remembered that Virtual DJ offered karaoke lyrics overlay so thought I would give it a go, wouldn't i look cool but unfortunately every track netsearch found nothing, shame cause great idea in principal.

Confirmed - not finding anything.

Loaded several very well known songs (typical singalong stuff) and no lyrics found at all.

Hi, please advise. Only now I discovered the function of adding lyrics to the video... Automatic search through NetSearch works great, but only for foreign (English sung) songs. I would also like to implement the Czech text. Is it possible to set the database source somewhere?

Hi need to pick this one up, what is the fix for latin strings??

It messes everything up when there is accents like mío mí agonía amé etc
Example:
[01:23.07]Que en unos días, vas a ser mía"
[01:27.03]Me dijo
[01:30.52]Que estoy muy loco, pero le gusta
[01:32.89]Que ningún vato como yo actúa
[01:37.62]Y ahí te va, mija
[01:40.10]Y puro Doble P, viejo
[01:42.19]Así nomás, compa Pedro

Please advise

I'm also spotting problems with ’ not being escaped too.

@djabayarde_eqss this is something that the mods will have to look at if you need something sooner you could regex with notepad++

I couldn't figure out a single rule for all vowels, but since there's only 5 it's not that bad.
example find
\í
replace
í

I'm looking at what it takes to be done with c++ [if you're windows] but it'll be a few beers

how many files are we talking about?

it happens in every latin song, so infinite

lets deal with the finite, I was offering a fix, the number doesn't make a difference this side because I can fix as a batch, the number matters your side because it will be you replacing them.

If it's 50 or so, it's a chore but possible, if it's hundreds it would be too mind numbing to consider.
