A friend of mine just told me that his Pro Infinity License expired today. Are these not supposed to be Lifetime licenses ? Just wondering. Thanks for your time.

They don't expire. He is probably referring to a Pro Infinity subscription.
Lots of people post here saying they bought a license, when they actually have a subscription.

Not sure thats the case. He said what if this happened when he was at a gig and he couldn't use his controller. Hes had VDJ for a long time so i'm told. He doesn't believe it to be a subscription.

It may be possible what your friend is referring to is being logged out of VDJ, when not connected to the net.
To prevent this, set stayLoggedIn to Yes
in options
as GroovinDJ has mentioned.... the Pro Infinity License does NOT expire.
And yes it is Lifetime, which is so amazing compared with almost every other software I have ever owned. (a Lifetime of always amazing updates....)
