Is this broken?? I can’t get SoundSwitch to connect.

Can anyone confirm it’s working with the latest builds of SS & VDJ??

Yes, it's fine. VDJ BUILD 7847
Soundswitch 2.8.2.5

oS2l worked on Christmas eve with VDJ 7831 and a Wolfmix, haven't got a Soundswitch to see if that works

Ok Thanks I’ll hit SS support and see what’s going on then. It’s not even connecting to SDJ either now.

Just rolled back VDJ to b7831 and it connects just fine.

The latest beta of VDJ breaks the connection.

Running a M1 MacBook Pro with macOS Ventura 13.4.1

I can also confirm that I can't seem to get the connection to SoundSwitch working with the latest beta (v2023 b7847), but it seems to work with the latest stable releasr just fine (v2023 b7831)

Given it works with the latest stable release and not the beta (= next upcoming release), I'd moreso push this one to Automix devs first as it seems more likely that they changed something in VirtualDJ wrt the OS2L behaviour/implementation that SoundSwitch doesn't expect.

There is a problem with the macOS version in connection with VirtualDJ early access.
I use the latest macOS version 14.1.2
Soundswitch macOS 2.8.2.5-6fae9847 and VirtualDJ macOS v2023 EA b7847 do not work together!

It may indeed be related to some updates for the VirtualDJ Remote on mac that broke OS2L, we'll check further shortly.

What surprises me is that this combination works.
macOS VirtualDJ Version v2023 EA b7847 to Soundswitch Windows 2.8.2.5-6fae9847 over the network.

I've the same issue with the VDJ b7847 on Macbook pro.2018. VDJ and SS running on the same Notebook.
Found a workaround in my case:
1 - Start SS
2 - Configure it to use network IP : 127.0.0.1 (local network loopback. and restart it!)
3 - Install from Apple Store, Discovery DNS SD browser
4 - Run it and check to find the _os2l._tcp. item, browse it, open the SS item to find the port number
currently used by SS on this local machine.(copy the "IP:port")
5 - Go to VDJ, open settings, filter with "os2l" paste the 127.0.0.1:port into os2ldirectIP parameter.
Was working just right now, for me. Unfortunately, until VDJ will being fixed, this trick need to be replayed each time SS is restarted..
Sorry for my poor English, wanted just to share it in case of somebody want absolutely use this version with SS.

Connection on MacOS Sonoma is also broken between Soundswitch 2.8.2.5 and VDJ BUILD 7881.
Please Devteam fix this ASAP.
