i have an i7 samsgung laptop with 8gb Ram, i have installed vdj but everytime i open settings it shuts down the vdj software? i have cleared reinstalled done just about all i can think of??? can anyone help

I assume you mean 8gb of RAM which is a bit low in general (16gb recommended)
Locate your home folder either in Users\YourUserName\documents\virtualdj or Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualDJ (may be hidden) and delete the settings.xml file with VDJ closed. Reopen and it should work correctly.

lol yes sorry 8gb on ram, i have cleared the setting file as you suggested and still the same, i have made sure i am rnning the latest software, which work without error on my pc. but every time i try to open the settings menu top right to so to video tutorials and the rest of the settings the vdj just thinks about it and shuts down. i have monitored the processes and nothing spikes. totally confused ??
