Topic: Crackling sound and soundbugs in Virtual DJ
Hello guys...

I just added my microphone to VDJ and since that I hear so many annoying crackling sounds in VDJ. I dont know what I did wrong. The goal of mine and a friend is to play our Songs on stage with Autotune while VDJ is running in the background... so its a must that the microphone is connected. Do you got any advices what I can do? My Computer is very good when its about performance and in no other DAW i got crackling sounds, even when a few plugins are running at the same time.

Do you know what I can do?

Much thanks

Lukas

What's the make and model of the microphone? How is it connected to (through) VDJ?

What audio interface are you using? Are you using a Mac or a PC?

If you're just using VDJ to play backing tracks, there's no need to send the mic signal through VDJ.

Its a Neumann TLM Microphone, and I payed 700 for it.

Im using the Focusrite Solo Interface of the third generation

I not only want play backing tracks... I want to route Autotune and other effects from Fl Studio to Virtual DJ cause Im going to be a DJ for my artist friend. Do you know how I can route effects from FL Studio to VDJ?

You need to check the latency setting for the Focusrite, and increase the buffer size as required.

VirtualDJ can host VST plugins itself.

I know it can host VST Plugins, but when I try to sing or rap over autotune efx in VDJ it wont work. And I heard from many sources that its much better too route the effects from another DAW
