Now that InMusic and Pioneer have released this for their newer controllers is there any chance of VDJ support?
Its half the price of Tidal and I'm not bothered about stems support for the odd track.
Thanks!

Yes, this is hot off the press...
There was a bit of a leak with some Denon users seeing an update to Engine 4.3 but no info, and now it's official - plus it's coming to Serato (Algoriddim already had it).

I see inMusic are saying it's for devices that "feature secure boot technology"......so I guess some of the AlphaTheta hardware has these chips in too?

XDJ AZ and Omnis Duo got Apple Music in Standalone Mode.
Everything else only with Rekordbox in Performance Mode.
And Serato got Apple Music too

Quite a few other threads asking about this.
Would be nice if Atomix could give some sort of hint instead of ignoring all the threads. Just a yes, maybe or definitely no would be great.

The trouble with this is it's not just them that is involved with the decision making process, the platform providing the service (Apple Music) has to want to work with them/give access too.
Especially if they haven't been approached or the details haven't been ironed out, any press release have a negative effect on the the desired outcome.
Pretty sure they would want to integrate though, and besides:
I personally don't get why this is such a big deal given the other providers and what they offer (caching for instance), but I respect it.
Atomix have been pretty much one of the pioneers of integrating streaming platforms into the software (iDJPool, etc), so it's definitely not a capability issue (and there was no noise on other platforms when they did it too).
Patience would be the only recommendation - we'll see when it comes in 🍺.

- I don't know about the InMusic platforms, but at least for Serato there was definitely no prior notice (that I'm aware of) that was given
- Atomix (normally from what I've seen) just announces support when the feature is ready - they don't give "coming soons" (which probably would have even more customers beating down forum doors with when)

Maybe there isn't an answer yet, if it was a public API then sure Atomix could decide themselves today, but it's not, it's apple [probably a bit more lawyering needed than "Gib API key plz"] . Plus what I've been reading about stability from other sources it's not something to rely on just yet.
It has only been 6 days.

From what I heard, the radio silence was a requirement from Apple. The Denon "leak" was unintentional, but luckily only slightly early.
I too can't really see the need for yet another option. There are a good selection already. I guess the enthusiasm is mainly down to the amount of people using it.
In the UK Spotify have the top spot with nearly half the market, but they're out of the DJ game, so next biggest is Amazon (which Denon added) followed by Apple.
The others are all minor players (under 2% of the market share).
