Hi. I added a new internal SSD to my laptop which I will use for all of my media. I right-clicked my music folder in VDJ and chose "Move to" and selected the new drive and VDJ moved the files. But the music folder still points to the old location -which is now empty. How do I get the new location updated so my database doesn't think I just added a folder of new music?
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you did the move correctly then it will have moved the VDJ database for those files from one location to the other seamlessly.
What do you mean by "the music folder"?

It's a 'Favorite' link. I click on it and it displays my music in the browser, but it still points to the old music location even though the music was moved.
I THINK I did the move correctly. Like I said, I right clicked, selected 'Move to', picked the location on my new drive that I wanted it moved to and it did the move. My concern is that the Favorite icon still points to the old location and I'm worried that my database is associated with the old location and will see the new location as NEW songs. The beatgrids, stems, and any other associations will be gone.
I did a backup of the database BEFORE I did the move just in case it didn't go well.
I can already see that when I load a song that already had the stems separated, it tries to analyze them again. So I know the association between that song and the stem file is gone.

I seem to have my music folder setup on the new drive but my stem associations are not working.
The Hotcues all seem to work. I thought Hotcues were not encoded into the MP3 but rather just the database?
My setlists are finding the songs.
Is there a way to check that the database is correct?
Thanks!

Yes, song metadata specific to VirtualDJ is stored outside of the file (database.xml is the main source, but like Linked Tracks is stored elsewhere (extra.db in the main VirtualDJ folder on the drive)).
The database for songs on the drive is normally located on the drive itself (VirtualDJ/database.xml), and preprepared stems are normally stored alongside the original file with a .vdjstems extension unless you specified a specific folder in settings. I don't really know the expectations for either case (I always use realtime stems personally), but I would assume storage alongside needs no real extra effort, but the latter one I'm not sure how the association is done.

Thanks. My linked track associations seem to be working fine. I do keep my stems in a separate folder from my main song folder, and that was also moved to the new drive. I updated VDJ settings to point to the new location, but if I play a song I know has a stem file VDJ still calculates new stems. So obviously the association for those files in the database is not correct.
