Topic: Sampler Volume Control on the Prime 4+
Sorry if this is already a topic.. But the ONE thing the Prime 4+ doesnt have is a Volume knob for the Samles. I know i can probably map one but is there one already in there and i don't see it?

Any good scripts or something out there for this.?

My VDJ is up to date as of 4/26/25

There is no dedicated Sampler Vol knob on the Prime 4/4+ so not included in default Mapping.
You could use any of the spare knobs if you dont use them as hardware operation (e.g. the MIC 2 knobs, ZONE knobs etc) and map it as sampler_volume_master

Also presumably you could assign the sampler volume via a shift function, so the knob's original use is kept unless shift is held.

Thanks.. thats what I was thinking... I didn't think of the shift feature.. OK making the script or the map for that is the next project. The Mcx8000 was perfect for having total control.. But its old.. i still have mine, it still works.. Need to change the Cue/Play button on one side though.

Just remove the board and spray on some switch cleaner, that should sort it. I've used two MCX8000 units since 2016 and have never had to replace the button. They just get dirty for some reason and need cleaned.
