I'm using a Legion Go with a 780M APU for VDJ and real-time analysis with Steam 2.0 using the GPU. Analysis speeds have reached up to x9.2, and it's been working well for a year. However, I've noticed that GPU utilization fluctuates between 70% and 100% during real-time analysis, which is normal. However, the maximum VRAM available is 4.0GB, but I've set my computer to 6.0GB. Why can't I use more than 4.0GB? Or is Steam 2.0 limited to a maximum of 4GB of VRAM when using the 780M APU? How can I make Steam 2.0 use more VRAM? My computer can be configured with a maximum of 8G VGAM

Why would it need to use more VRAM?

I'm assuming he thinks the stems will calculate faster if more vram is available?

Quick answer is that loading all the song data into VRAM wouldn't result in faster performance. STEMS is calculation heavy, so the number of GPU cores and the speed at which they run, results in faster performance. The bottleneck is usually the cores, not storage.

Yes I think VGRM has something to do with analysis speed, it seems I was ridiculously wrong thanks!!
