Topic: Custom Keyboard Mapping Hotkey question
I am looking to program one of my Fn buttons (Fn F4).

I would like to have F4, when pressed, JUMP to the text search box in VDJ. So I can start to search for a song.

Does VDJ have any keyboard mapping combination available to do this?

I have Flexikey, which will allow me to record any series of keyboard strokes to a single key.
So if as an example, VDJ had "ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+S" or other in the advanced editor to jump to the SEARCH bar in VDJ, I could assign it to my F4 key, and once pressed, it would run it and jump the cursor to the search box.

I really appreciate any help provided!

(NOTE - Please don't suggest AUTOHOTKEY. While YES, it works, I've been using it for this purpose already. I am looking to further minimize any possible latency issues by not installing another application. And Flexikey comes installed on my new PCAL already, as it is built in and part of the Control Center.)

Simply map the key to search

Or better yet, if you use the keyboard only to search for songs, map the "UNMAPPED" key (literally that's the name of the key) to search and the ESC key to clear_search & browser_window 'songs'

Then as soon as you start typing, VirtualDJ will perform a search, and the ESC key can be used to clear the search and return to previous browser view.

I have had my space bar mapped as search for over 4 years and it was the biggest simply thing that made my work flow so much easier.
