Issue moving folders and tracks to an external SSD (all methods affected)
I’m experiencing a consistent issue when trying to move music files inside VirtualDJ, but only when the destination is an external SSD.
This problem happens in all scenarios I tested:
Moving a full folder with all its subfolders
Moving individual subfolders
Using Recurse mode to list all tracks from a folder and its subfolders, selecting all tracks and moving them together
In all these cases, the behavior is the same:
✅ When the destination is an internal hard drive, the move completes correctly
❌ When the destination is an external SSD, only part of the files are moved
❌ Some tracks always remain in the original folder
❌ Repeating the process does not move the remaining tracks
❌ No error message, warning, or log is shown
Even after trying again — whether moving folders or selecting only the remaining tracks via Recurse — those files cannot be moved to the external drive.
This suggests that the issue is not related to Recurse mode specifically, but affects any file move operation targeting an external drive.
Is this a known limitation related to external drives, file system handling, permissions, or database path management?
Thank you.

I had an issue recently where I tried copying my video files from an external SSD to mac OS (not within VDJ) and it refused to work with no error messages. Turned out the issue was MacOS not liking file names with accents in the characters. The one causing it to fall over was APT by Rosé & Bruno Mars.

Wonder if this might be related?
