I downloaded the new update, and the pitch effect is different. No longer is it changing it by semitones, but doing something else entirely. Is there a new effect that can change your song by cents and semitones?

legacy is still available, new pitch is a 2 dial affair, dial 2 picks your range related to pitch 0% and then dial 1 picks how far towards dial 2's the key is taken.
See the fx gui to make sense of it.

Thanks for the response, how can I access the legacy pitch effect in virtualdj 26?
Some feedback on the new one though: Dial 2's percentage only is plus or minus 25, 50, 75, or 100. Would love to see some more flexibility than that. Also, the song's key indicator does not change, so I don't know what key I am in post fx.

You only get -50 & +100 with the old plugin [+-1 oct].
Really all the old plugin did [in most cases] was perform the key_move script [hence why you saw the change] you can use the key section of the gui for that.
New version performs the key transform on the buffer sound not the track, and allows semi tones.
If think there's a key padpage you could use too.

But I liked with the old one how you could do pitch adjustments in the 0.1-0.9 range. I was wondering how to recreate that in the new update.

I agree. I prefer the legacy version too. The new version doesn't play nice with my controller setup, or my preferred skin. (and I'm an old fart who's resistant to change). Please provide an option/method to revert to the previous iteration.

just use the list called "Legacy" (doesn't matter if you change the content of the list, as long as the list's name is "Legacy"), and all the plugins in the list will use their old behavior like in vdj2025
