Mapping Question ?
I want to assign a function to potentiometer 2 on my controller.
1.
In "Master Video effects > overlay > camera (master)"
The following works here
deck master & effect_select "camera" & effect_active & effect_slider 2
2.
Now I would like to do the same in "source for audio-only camera (v. source)"
What is the command here to not use the Master Deck but the source for audio-only?

Hi LocoDog, thank you for your help, but it's not working.
Do you have any other ideas?

Does anyone have any other ideas on how I can address this slider?

The above works in most cases but can get messy when you start chopping and changing between video and AOV try this.
deck 1 effect_slider audioOnlyVisualisation 2 & deck 2 effect_slider audioOnlyVisualisation 2 & deck master effect_slider audioOnlyVisualisation 2
deck 1 effect_slider audioOnlyVisualisation 2 & deck 2 effect_slider audioOnlyVisualisation 2 & deck master effect_slider audioOnlyVisualisation 2

Hi locodog, the new command line doesn't help either.
It must be due to "audioOnlyVisualisation", this command does nothing for me.
There is no response to this command.
This means I cannot activate the camera from the source.

There is no "activation" for Video Source, just selection.
So ..
effect_select 'audioOnlyVisualisation' 'Camera'
selects and turns on the Camera on Video Source (for audio Only)
effect_select 'audioOnlyVisualisation' 'None'
selects the "None" Video source, which is equal to turn the Camera off.
Not sure how the above will work as expected on a knob 0% to 100%, but perhaps this will work for you.
param_bigger 1% ? effect_select 'audioOnlyVisualisation' 'Camera' & effect_slider 'AudioOnlyVisualisation' 2 : effect_select 'audioOnlyVisualisation' 'None'
Remember, this special AudioOnlyVisualisation FX slot (v.Source) is only applying/activating the Effect if no Video Track is loaded, so only when audio Track is loaded or Deck not loaded at all

Thank you both so much for your help !!
Unfortunately, the poti still doesn't work with DJDad's script.
Perhaps there's a small mistake in the script, or it's simply not possible at all ? !

I think it would be much better to be able to call the camera by name.
That way you're not having to find a random knob percentage for a script, that will break if you add or remove one of your cameras.

Hi GroovinDJ,
You're absolutely right, I'm showing the dance floor with 4 webcams,
so the fiddling around to switch between them with a poti is an absolute disaster.
You've already said it correctly elsewhere:
The selection should be via a list or menu, so that we can see what's available and go straight to it, rather than have to randomly turn a knob in the hope of selecting the right spot.

This happened to me recently...
I had unplugged my webcam cable in order to connect my Prime 4 hard drive, but then forgot to plug it back in afterwards.
I started up VDJ and enabled the camera plugin, but another (virtual) camera was selected, so I turned the knob and VDJ crashed on me - twice - before I remembered the webcam was unplugged.
If the cameras were listed by name, I could have immediately seen that the webcam was not available.
