Is there a sign sheet for RS1 beta testers ? I’m interested.

Do we need a Denon ASIO driver and control panel install?

Yes. Rane hasnt yet uploaded to their website, so sent link via the beta-test email

Are you part of the beta test group? They probably changed it to be for the test group only.

unfortunately not. :( After I ordered mine and went to join the test it just was closed for new testers..

But any updates yet?

@Kradcliffe.. Thanks. Future looks bright. :-)

That's my System One collected today to go back to the supplier for a refund. It's been an interesting 3 months and the hardware is great, however I found a few bugs in standalone operation.

I of course raised tickets however dealing with InMusic support is frustrating to say the least. One of the main issues with the prep list had been reported on previous controllers but was still present. They took several days to respond between messages and gave no assurance any of the issues would be resolved in Engine OS 5 (which isn't out yet) or in fact they would be solved at all. Just excuse after excuse and we're a small team dealing with multiple products etc.

Apart from that, there are obvious errors in the gridding that were reported 18 months ago, acknowledged and still not corrected.

I know the VDJ development team are far more personal and responsive being a small company, however InMusic are clearly at the other end of the scale and it's not a great customer experience at all.

@djdad two months later... Any news?

The Screen Communication Protocol is changed in System One, so that means 2 things...
1. It will take some time to implement - Dont ask when, will be ready when ready.
2. From what we have seen, it will not be possible to "skin" the screen, meaning that the UI layout will be pre-defined and VDJ (and other Apps) will just fill the device with data, so more or less similar to the Pioneer screens.

I know it's a bit off-topic, but maybe I can find the answer. How can I get the screens working in UI mode (like on Serato) on the Denon SC5000? Because in the current mode, it doesn't stay connected if I switch to standalone mode and back, unless I restart VirtualDJ.

By the way, I'm thinking of buying a Rane ONE, but I want to make sure it works flawlessly with VirtualDJ, especially the screen. If I buy one, do I get access to the beta testing group? Also, will I have enough time to test it and return it if I'm not happy with it?

Hello friends VDJ , we still are waiting RANE SYSTEM ONE SUPPORT VDJ , now we can't even enter to BETA TESTER , why ? Thanks your help and answer

We need a invitation for beta?

That ship sailed 2 months ago.

At least some news. :) …maybe I can help in beta mapping

If you actually read the thread this is the latest.

1 - The beta programme is closed and won't be taking any more testers.
2 - The mapper is with InMusic for internal testing and there is no timescale for this to be complete.

Given the general slowness of InMusic anyway and the fact they are dealing with the Windows Midi2 mess and a botched firmware release for some of their gear, who knows when this will be complete and available.

I can't believe this is taking SOOO long. Honestly, in this age of AI assistance, etc. It's embarrassing.

@Keith Symmonds Crack on then, see how far that gets.

They are waiting for approval from InMusic (like it says in the post just above yours)

Also AI can't help with this at all :)
