This is not a plug in for VDJ. Its more of a stand alone app that interfaces with VDJ through network control plugin.
I already know about Ask The DJ, and that can work for a lot of shows. However, I have a particular use case when running my Karaoke show.
I couldnt find any plugin that did what I want to I am working on building my own. So far its actually working great!
I still have a long way to go to get it really refined, but so far here is what the remote kiosk can do:
-This does not require internet access to run. Its all local.
-I have 2 touch screen desktops on the same physical network and subnet.
-I start the kiosk app up on the remote kiosk
-It will download the latest Karaoke song DB as a JSON from the VDJ laptop
-It has touch friendly buttons
-Buttons for Artist or Title they can select from
-Next screen they use the on screen keyboard to type and search.
-As they type it will filter the list and they can drag and scroll the list with touch screen
-They pick a song
-It asks for their name
-They click submit
-The requested song shows up at the bottom of the Karaoke singers list
-It also has the name they enter on the song request
-I can press the play button on my left deck on my Denon DJ Controller
-Singer 1 starts singing
-The rest of it works as usual
The really hard part of this was figuring out the syntax for VDJScript commands
I know this setup is not for everyone and likely will for ever need tweaks.
