Can the same scripts be written in a POI action to do all the same scripts as a custom button does? Are there limitations to the script options in either?
If I want to link a POI to a custom button, how would I label the button in the script and the button so the script identifies the correct button to press? I tried several different ways to no avail.
Thank you.

No limitations or differences except a custom_button can never call a custom_button as were a apoi can call a custom_button.
The poi would be
custom_button 1 to call the script on custom button 1 with the variation on show
or if you want to get fancy
custom_button 1 2 to call the script on custom button 1 of the 2nd variation.

Thanks so much! I did try that however to no avail.. so I figured it could be the skin and or the number of the buttons if they are numbered... I am using the denyo 2020 skin but when i switched to the Default Pro, it worked. Im thinking I need to find out how, or if. ,the skin has the custom buttons numbered.

can get messy with custom_buttons and skins there are no rules as to what numbers you can use, let me think of a test to detect
If you're on windows a virtualFX could find it no I'm being dumb
Use script learn in the mappers section, that will tell you the number when you click it.
The pipette by section 12

Excellent! What a great handy tool! It worked. The buttons start at 105! Changed the script to button 105 and it worked. Thanks a bunch!
