I can't wait for Virtual DJ to be compatible with my new Hercules T10 controller. I am really struggling using Serato in the meantime. I'm just using Serato to practice and play around with the new controller but definitely won't be gigging with it.
I know when a new controller is released, you just have to be patient and wait for VDJ compatibility to just automatically show up with no advanced notice, but if any staff here has any news on when that will be, it would be greatly appreciated by me.

Exactly. :(

Mine arrived today. Same story, using Serato just while the update happens. I think there are a couple of hold ups : the motor on the platter has a different architecture than the T7s so the sensors have to be calibrated correctly, and the Stems Slip feature has to be taken into consideration. I haven't been able to find a way of scratching just the vocal during playback on the same deck and have it also have slip mode on, so that ability has to be reverse-engineered. That one feature was something no one was really considering.
Screens is what usually has the biggest holdup so hopefully no longer than 3 weeks from ship date is what it will take. And we'll be able to adjust specific stems with slip mode from now on too.

My Hercules T10 was not responding accurately when I used it with Serato & DJUCED so I tried it with DJ Pro from Algoriddum & now it works fine. So at least now I can use it until they roll out the update for it in Virtual DJ :)

I've done 3 gigs with my Hercules T10 and Serato so far. Although I'm really enjoying using the T10, it is a huge pain in the butt trying to DJ with Serato. I don't see how anyone could actually enjoy djing with Serato. You have to work twice as hard to do anything in that program. It's like the program is working against you at every turn. I really hope we get a VDJ update with connectivity soon because DJing with Serato is killing me lol.

Just curious...why would you buy a controller that you know doesn't work with VirtualDJ yet and then come to the forums and ask for it to be supported?
Did you really need that controller so much for that to be the path to choose?
I'm also curious as you're a known professional with lots of experience and have other working controllers (provably from your vlogs).

Easy question to answer. I've been using VDJ since 2009. From what I've seen throughout the years, they have always provided support to every new controller that comes out. I'd say they have a very good track record, one that I feel good about trusting in. You'll see in my new video being released today that I said I don't NEED this controller, but I WANTED it. I am 99.9% sure that VDJ will be supported on the Hercules T10 so I was not really requesting it. I was just wondering if anyone knew when it was gonna happen.
I purchased this controller because it is a true game changer. It is exactly the controller I have been longing for, for years. Why wait until it's supported to own it? I'd rather own it first and wait for support, that way when they finally do release the support for it, all I'll have to do is update VDJ and be happy. :)

I respect that. I don't know where they are at, but given you have it, why don't you reach out to them directly for a potential remote mapping session if they haven't gotten it and started already?

I'd love to participate in that! I didn't think they worked that way, but if they are open to it, I sure as hell am lol. I thought they handled all of this by themselves. I didn't know they worked with users on updating new controllers to VDJ. I just don't want to piss them off because they hold the key to my happiness in their hands lol, but like I said, if they are open to the idea, I definitely am because Serato makes DJing not fun or enjoyable at all.
I'll send them a message now and let you know what they say, that is if I even get a response from them. Thanks!

I sent them a direct message and they actually replied back to me. The good news is they already have a unit and are working on the update now... so they don't need my help. I kinda thought that anyway, but at least now I know for sure. So like I said, it's just a matter of time and the T10 will be supported by VDJ one day soon.
That day will seem like Christmas to me lol. I tried to give Serato a fair chance, but I just can't. The workflow is just too archaic in comparison to VDJ. I can easily and truthfully say that I hate Serato with a passion.

It was worth a shot and I suspected they were working on it.
I would say imo it's probably better to ask them about support than to buy it and then to make and keep messaging on a post asking for the support.

But that's just it. I am not asking them for support. Re-read my messages. The reason I am not asking is because I know how they work. I was already 99.9% sure they were already working on it. The main reason I started this thread was to communicate with other VDJ users who also bought the T10 because we are all suffering with the dreaded Serato software lol.

So what I saw from the thread started with this
Then something like this
To me, that sounds like asking for an update on the hardware support, and saying you are forced to work with Serato, rather than asking other users pains (they just happened to be a few users who shared their similar waiting status).
They always say it's ready when it's ready and it seems like you know this.
Telling them about Serato pains won't change that 🤷♂️.
All I did was suggest a more direct way of getting your answer, which you did use and actually got an answer.

Haha!! Yeah Ill never understand that either, you know its not supported but you buy it anyways. Then come and complain about how hoard it is to use the software it came with 🤣😂
Mixing and using 'Echo out' is pretty much the same process with VDJ or SDJ...... What's so hard??

Yep, I bought it because I knew it would eventually be supported.
And yep, Serato is a pain in the butt to use, but I'm using it now while I wait on the VDJ update.
And lastly, I do a lot of very cool things in VDJ that are simply not possible with Serato. But hey, if mixing and echoing out is all you do when you dj, then of course you'll never understand how VDJ is light years ahead of Serato.

And for that I thank you very much! Once again, I am not complaining to the fine folks at Atomix. I was just venting my frustrations with other T10 owners who would truly understand my pain. ;)

I just watched the hard Rock gig vlog and yeah it's all mix in, echo out backspin,, oh and you did a little scratching in that one......Pretty much all your vlogs are like that....... But ok 👍🏾

Like I stated earlier, you won't understand because I'm doing other things in VDJ that simply cannot be done in Serato. And yes, Serato is a complete pain in my butt to use. I hate it with a passion.
Why did you join this thread? I really don't understand people who join threads that don't pertain to them at all.
