I would like to have the ability to store text messages that you use all the time, or for a short time. I would like to load the weeks upcoming shows and specials, and to run them in a slide show type of effect. I have a birthday party, a halloween party, which bartenders swallow(I work in a gentlemens club). This way I don't have to type each one over again, and can let them run automaticlly, in a slideshow. Maybe you could call it a text waitlist. This way I am not typing all night.

You can create jpeg images of the text with or without a nice background, maybe even a club logo in the corner etc... use either in MS Paint (simple) or go all out and use a program like Photoshop.
Place all your ads for the night in one folder then go to the Config > Video tab at the bottom there is a "show bitmap" radio button select that button choose the first image in the folder. Below select slideshow and set the time duration. (SEE below image)
Note the larger the original image the better it will look on screen, try 1025x768 for your first image see how it looks on screen.

Hey GiraffeHunter, Thanks for the info. That is a great idea, and would do what I want. To bad I don't know how to do any of that stuff. I can barely turn on my machine, much less create an image. Well, I guess I will have to learn how. This will definately take what I want to do, to the next level. Again, thanks for the info. Time to get cracking.

You can start with Microsoft Paint, you will find that in Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint
If you want a more serious image editor you can get the Gimp for free (legally) here:
http://www.cleansoftware.org/graphics/
Its spyware and junkware free and it's legal, they say it's just like photoshop.
