I find that in hardstyle and hardcore the shorter mixes always work best. when your transitions are faster, it just adds to the whole 'feel' of the genre... Check out any mixes by hixxy (from Bonkers [out through central station]) his mixing is short and sharp and has a lot of energy to it.
