I'm ripping some songs (not that many, only one CD) with VDJ and it has crashed several times. It doesn't do it while actually ripping, but when I click "listen" on another song right after a rip. This is a new computer and I only installed VDJ on it a few days ago (been using it plenty since).
:-\ I have a gig tonight...I don't want it to crash.

what software are you using to rip? and why not wait until the whole CD is finished ripping then analyze it using VDJ.
Here is my suggestion
Keep VDJ closed
Rip your CD
once the CD is finished being ripped onto your hard drive
open VDJ
locate the ripped songs on your hard drive
analyze them in VDJ
put them on whatever deck and it shouldn't crash at all
I've ripped hundreds of CDs and never had any problem at all this way. Just don't push your system too hard cause the crash might be related to not having enough Ram.
