Is it possible to have both the KP2 and DJ Console connected in a simple set up- just to my pc?- can't seem to find any info on this, so any help would be appreciated.

no it isn't possible to do it, because the KP2 is to use with a real mixer, with effect send & return signals.

However, if you are thinking of using the Kaoss Pad as a MIDI controller, then the answer is yes.

How would I set it up as a midi controller- would it still work as an effects processor?

You could use it as both at the same time, but anything you do with it as an effects processor will still be seen as a MIDI event and VDJ would still react to that. I guess you could disconnect the MIDI cable to disble the MIDI events, or build a simple switch to virtually connect and disconnect the cable.
