Thanks ACW for the referral...
Chervey, let me know if you need any assistance... I just re-read that and all is pretty much up to date... although I wonder where some of those typos came from :0)

I want to use the Karoke part of VDJ, but I have no clue how to start.
How do i convert or rip my regular digital songs or my cd songs to instrumental?
Where do I get the lyrics from?
and how do I match the instrumentals with the lyrics

Your best option would be to purchase properly made karaoke songs in standard MP3+G format from vendors such as Sound Choice, Sunfly, Zoom, etc. E.g: http://www.soundchoicestore.com
These already instrumental versions of the tracks and have appropriate graphical lyrics synchronised to the song.
Alternatively, you can purchase CDG discs and 'rip' these yourself into MP3+G format for use in VirtualDJ.
Trying to make your own karaoke songs would be a very time consuming process, especially when it is already professionally done for you.

Thank you for your answer, but i went to those sites. I dont have that kind of $$$. Thats very expensive. I rather go old school and do it the long way. I have people thats willing to take shifts...lol..
Now I heard Power Karoke is excellent for ripping songs and cd's. What do u think? And is there another software thats as good or better?
And price reasonable?
I also went to lyrics.com for the words. Is that the best place for the words? most sites I went to give u the words for free.
And last but not least, i believe Power Karoke brings the words with the instrumental togather, but if it doesnt, does anyone know how to do it?
