I used VDJ on automix last week at the NAMM show while I ate lunch, but as far as a dance floor being packed,.. a pre-mix is a no-no. At least in my book. You'll probably get as many answers on each side though. Some people just don't see it as a big deal if you use a pre-mix at the club. Me personally,.. I would NEVER do it.

I think it's probably OK if you need a pee, but otherwise spoils the immediacy.
I used to do a gig where if I put the long version of Mr Vain on I could just make it to the toilet and back. Couldn't talk to anyone though on the way.
