I have on board 7.1 sound and currently use front speakers for left deck and rear speakers for right deck and patch it all to my mixer...no problem.
I want to use one of the other outputs on the sound card for headphones so I can cue without having to turn the pot on mixer down and leave the cross fade in the software to the deck that is playing to the audiance. Will the software still output the sound to the headphones from deck two while the slider is all the way to deck 1?
The current solution is to leave the software fader in the middle and slide the mixer volume to zero so the audiance cant hear, and then use the cue on my mixer, this works but leaves room for error and seems redundant.
The software configure screens only seem to offer me the choice of Front or Rear left and right.
Any suggestions would be greatlt appreciated.. Happy Mixing
