- crashes instantly on chris cunningham palm pictures pal dvd.
-doesnt crash on 'woodstock 3days of peace and music' , and shows 50 tracks on disk correctly, but gives dvd name incorrectly as 'warner music', doesnt show track names, outppuut window is blank, and when 'rip' is pressed just says 'error'
a good dvd ripping tool is essential ! please advise.

BTW, these dvd ripping tools are gradually disappearing off the internet so be thankfull we have what we have here.
If you are crashing during a rip, it generally is a defect in the dvd read whether it plays in your player or not. Ripping is cirtical and any defect what so ever will puke it for ya.
We all know how mistreated cds can be and still play, not so with dvds.
Another bonus to going digital with playback, the dvds become the masters not the slaves and replacing them isn't cheap.
The resent Smartripper 2.41 version on the net is not working for me, it doesn't find the key on the disc.
This is a leftover mirror on the net, the original site spits up a message effective Jan 1.
