hi i suppose all of you are tired of new ppl asking this question, but..

how do i use the pre-listening function. plz could u give me step by step instructions.. plz? im only new!

The prelistening function using a 5.1 soundcard for example is only available in the full version.

um... and presuming that i buy the full version. how do i set it up then?
 
You will need a 5.1 sound card, two sound cards or a professional soundcard with multiple outputs. You could set it up in different ways:
- Connect 1 of the outputs to your amplifier (master sound) and attach your headphone to the other output (pre listen)
- Connect both outputs to an external mixer and pre listen using the mixer
