You certainly can use your own mixer, most of us do! Once you buy the full version of the software (the trial version doesn't support multiple outputs), you'll need a soundcard that supports at least four outputs to do it properly - popular cards include the Gigaport AG, Maya 44 and U46DJ, but the software seems to be compatible with pretty much anything... you can then run two sets of cables from the soundcard to the line inputs on your mixer.
