Hi there, I am still having an issue getting a proper video out to the big screen. When I select extend my windows desktop there is still the windows player box around the video. Can anyone tell me how to get just the video out to go to my external video mixer or projector so there is a nice clear image??? Is there a setting in the program that I am missing??? I would like to use vdj this weekend for a video show I am playing. Thanks for your help.

You need to configure that, depending of the settings of your graphic card. There are several options,you have to select which monitor you're gonna use as primary and which one would be the second one, just invert monitors and it should be ok, regards.

And you have to set it up in VDJ properly. Go to config->video tab->TV output. Default this is set to window, which you probably have at the moment. See what is in the box beside Window. I can't remember the naming but it should be something like "Second monitor".

You should have 2 choices, window and the name of your video card. Pick your video card.

I've managed to get the Professional Edition download sorted out - if you use your projector screen as the secondary monitorin Extended Desktop, you should find that it's there.
Mind you, what it displays depends on what you have set. You can get it to just display black, if there's no video or karaoke, your holiday slides (if you've scanned some in) or some visuals that are compatible with Virtual DJ (most of which are downloadable gratis from this site). You may have to adjust the Reactivity in the FAME Settings (or wherever), as it might slow it down.
Looks odd at first, seeing the Virtual DJ skin you have selected on the computer and slides or whatever on the big screen. You can also make it display the title and artist of records that are playing (make sure they're correctly labelled) and put text across the middle, maybe a free plug for your disco. Can be done in different colours, too!
