Well here is the situation. If I try to use the MK2 as a soundcard it will work for a few minutes then everything locks up. It will lock up right away in the VMIX skin while playing video. There is no IRQ sharing with the video card and the MK2 as the Video is 16 and the usbs are from 21 and up. If I use the mk2 as midi only it will not be responsive all the time and yesterday got the famous BSOD. It doesn't matter whether I am using 3.4 or 4 it does this on all. Now I also had a DAC2 hooked up and an XSession. I don't know if that is what caused the problem, but I doubt it as it did this when the MK2 was hooked up by itself. My system is a POS Dell E510, Pentium D 2.66, 2 gig Ram, ATI X1900GT video card. I am wondering if it is cheap RAM, but running memtest shows no errors. It is almost as if my USBs are losing communication. YES I am using a powered USB Hub and also a power supply for the MK2. I can run without the MK2 and using the DAC2 with the Xsession with no issues. I am just wondering what could be causing these issues. I also updated the Chipset. Anyone else with problems like mine please chime in. Thanks Brian

i think ur using to much usb bandwith
try disconecting some of the devices hooked to your pc
for example on my pc , i had a usb modem and the mk2 and the mk2 wasnt getting enought bandwith so i disconected the modem and all worked :)
just a thought
aslo do you have the lastest drivers for the mk2?

Yeah I have the latest MK2 driver. I am going to try to re-install the PCI USB card I had in there before my fresh XP install. If you want some history on my problems visit the Pops And Crackles topic and also the Going Back to ATI on the general discussion page.
The other thing I hate about this PC is that is has USB mouse and keyboard with no PS2 ports.
