I recorded a mix last night that went on for over an hour. When l played it back this morning it cut off after 30 minutes.

Is there any way to sort this?

Thanks in advance

Hmm.. can you try again?

Dont think there is such a limitation in the Home Version.

is it possible that the drive is not formatted to NTFS and FAT32 is imposing a limitation?

Not sure on the technical side. It cut off exactly on 30 minutes so it makes me think that it's a 'feature' of the home edition.

I'll try again though

I think what hayward is saying may make sense.

FAT32 has limit in one file size (4Gb), and 30 minutes in wav takes up to 300Mb so this is not the case, it is something else. You must check if you have enough space on your hard disk.

here's the thing. The file went on for the full hour but the sound cut off after exactly 30 minutes. It was 30 minutes to the absolute second. I was playing it on windows media player and even after the sound finished l could still see the bar moving below.

l've got loads of room on my hard drive.

Any ideas guys?
